Women in Leadership: Growing Together for Stronger Nonprofits and Greater Community Impact

Description
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
We want to welcome both aspiring female leaders and supporters seeking to champion women's empowerment in the nonprofit sector to this vital discussion.
Did you know that over 75% of nonprofit staff are women, yet they remain significantly underrepresented in leadership roles? This startling statistic begs the question: How can we ensure stronger leadership and community support for women aspiring to grow as leaders, particularly for those who are smaller nonprofit self-starters?
We will kickstart this crucial conversation, creating a safe space to raise awareness, share concerns, and, most importantly, find solutions together. Whether you're a seasoned leader or starting out, your voice matters.
Navigating the landscape of nonprofit leadership can sometimes feel like a solitary journey filled with questions and uncertainties. We understand that women in nonprofit leadership carry unique burdens and celebrate unique victories. But you are not alone. This discussion is a gathering of minds, a melting pot of diverse experiences, where both men and women come together to brainstorm on how to empower women in nonprofit leadership and support them in growing their confidence and impact.
WORKSHOP OUTCOMES
We will have a fireside conversation with the three distinguished panelists with extensive experience in both nonprofit and for-profit businesses in Palm Beach County.
Vicki Tate, the President of AWE (Alliance of Women Executives), Kathie Kreh, the President of the African Orphan Educational Foundation, and Connor Lynch, CEO of Plastridge Insurance, will share their experiences and perspectives on how we can ensure meaningful leadership and community support for aspiring female leaders in nonprofits.
We will then proceed to a facilitated discussion in smaller groups to experience the power and wisdom of a peer group focused on developing ideas and finding solutions. This will be an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation, share thoughts, and learn from one another.
We will end by sharing the insights and wrapping up with actionable takeaway steps for each participant.
