Using AI to Empower Nonprofits

Thursday, June 26, 2025 (1:00 PM - 2:30 PM) (EDT)

Description

Welcome to Using AI to Empower Nonprofits, a foundational course created to help nonprofit professionals understand and apply artificial intelligence in meaningful, mission-aligned ways. As AI rapidly transforms the way organizations work, this course is designed to ensure that nonprofits are not left behind—but instead, are equipped to lead with innovation and purpose. We begin by introducing the core concepts of AI, its historical development, and the key terms that will help demystify the technology. You’ll learn best practices for using AI responsibly and effectively, with a focus on transparency, equity, and ethical use—values that align closely with the nonprofit sector. We’ll guide you through powerful AI tools like ChatGPT and Copilot. These new technologies can help streamline tasks, enhance communication, support data analysis, and even generate content—saving valuable time and resources. If you're writing grant proposals, planning events, or managing community outreach AI can help. By the end of this course, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to explore AI as a powerful partner in your work—amplifying your impact while maintaining the human-centered values that define the nonprofit world. Let’s begin this journey toward innovation with purpose.
