Description

New Employees must properly complete a Form I-9 at the start of their employment. The process can be cumbersome, but we will cover the A-Z in understanding what is involved.  With civil penalties for Form I-9 violations higher than ever, mistakes can be costly. 


In this session, we will review Form I-9 topics, including: 

• The purpose behind I-9’s 

• Responsibilities in completing Form I-9s 

• Retention Practices 

• Penalties for non-compliance 

• Best practices for fixing Form I-9 errors 

• Conducting Internal Audits 

• Remote Best Practices.  


We recommend all HR / Payroll Administrators to attend.

 

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

Amy Miller has over 25 years of experience in Payroll, HR, and Benefits. She currently serves as the VP of Training at PNI•HCM. In her current position, she oversees all training initiatives and collaborates on enhancing both associate and client experiences. Amy’s notable achievements include designing and revamping learning programs through webinars, workshops, classroom training, and seminars. Prior to joining PNI•HCM, she held various operational leadership roles across multiple industries, including training, client support, implementation, and relationship management. Starting her career as a training specialist, she remains passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning. Amy holds PHR, SHRM-CP, and FPC certifications and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Telecommunications.


Kyle Wade is a seasoned HR professional with over 25 years of experience, specializing in Payroll, HR, and Benefits. As the CHRO at PNI•HCM, he spearheaded the creation of HR Advisor, a service designed to offer personalized HR support and maximize HCM technology potential for clients. This platform integrates payroll, HR, and other key areas to enhance efficiency and productivity. With a leadership background spanning various operational roles, Kyle has earned an MBA, a Master’s in human resource management, SPHR and SHRM-CP designations, and has a SHRM Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty badge as well as the SHRM People Analytics Specialty credential. He actively participates in SHRM, having served in various roles which have included President, Vice President, and Treasurer of the Carroll County chapter in MD.
