Nonprofit work is rewarding but can affect your well-being. Refuel to Serve is a training that supports nonprofit professionals recognize, prevent, and recover from compassion fatigue. Participants will learn strategies to strengthen resilience and maintain their capacity to serve with clarity and intention.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Kenyatta Connaway was born and raised in Riviera Beach Florida. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Florida Atlantic university 2003 and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Barry university in 2011. She has two decades of experience working in the field of child welfare, including 14 years as a mental health clinician and clinical director.
Through her experiences in working in the mental health and social work field, she identified a need in the community. After transforming her own life, she decided to dedicate her life to supporting others in transforming their lives. In 2020, she founded Kenyatta Speaks, LLC which focuses on Mental Fitness. Kenyatta Speaks also focuses on Emotional Intelligence, Habits, Mindsets and much more. Kenyatta is a 4D Associates Certified Transformational Coach, Facilitator of Learning, Motivational Speaker and a Mental Health Therapist. Kenyatta supports teens and adults in discovering their maximum potential by increasing awareness through mindset shifting. She believes every individual has the ability and power to change their lives by realizing their worth and full potential. She has volunteered at numerous organizations throughout the Tri-County area. She also is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County class of 2023. Lastly, Kenyatta is a board member of The Girls Scouts of Southeast Florida. She believes that a life of service is a life well lived.
