Calling all Nonprofit Boards of Directors, CEOs and Executive Directors! Do you ever feel that everything is just swirling around and you just can't get your arms around it? Are you operating the most effectively and efficiently as you can? Do you want to make more of an impact in your community this year and be more appealing to donors? We will discuss some of the key building blocks to create a strong and sustainable foundation for your agency as well as show you "best in class" practices that:
- Make you more effective and efficient.
- Allow you to move the needle on in a positive direction.
- Increase the impact your agency has in the community.
- Raise your appeal to donors and grantors.
- Position your agency to be pro-active versus reactionary.
About the Presenter
Paul is the CEO of RAND Strategic Solutions, LLC, a consulting firm that builds capacity for businesses and nonprofits so they may achieve their full potential and thrive in a constantly changing environment.
Paul utilizes a collaborative approach to inspire and challenge his clients, asking probing questions and listening to what is not said to craft executable strategies that move an organization forward. Paul’s value proposition is that he strongly believes the integration of strategic planning and risk management is fundamental to his client’s success. In his experience, many organizations focus on strategy but fail to ask, “What will prevent my organization from accomplishing its goals and objectives?” The answer, of course, is the risks and challenges faced by the organization.
With over 30 years’ experience, Paul’s clients have included non-profit organizations, small businesses, start-ups, financial institutions, individuals, and the public sector. He has consulted in disciplines such as faith-based healing, mental health, family services, the performing and fine arts, as well as product and promotional branding, banking, digital marketing, and health and wellness products.
Paul enables nonprofit organizations to integrate business best practices into their daily operations and works with many clients developing multi-year strategic plans and program outcomes. Specifically, Paul has developed strategic plans for Big Brothers Big Sisters Palm Beach & Martin Counties, CareBag, Inc., The Symphonia (Boca Raton), and Nonprofits First. He has facilitated strategic planning retreats for the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance, the West Palm Beach A&E District, The Police Athletic League of West Palm Beach, and Herizon. He is routinely asked to teach classes on strategic planning and operations management at the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship.
As Corporate Strategist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Paul successfully led the project to integrate the planning and enterprise risk management functions. As Financial Management Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Paul launched the division’s strategic planning and business process improvement functions to develop short- and long-range plans.
On a personal note, Paul is an accomplished pianist, performing locally on the Treasure Coast and with the St. Mary’s Concert Series in Stuart.
Paul earned an MBA in International Business from Georgia State University and a Lean Six Sigma Executive Greenbelt from BMGI.
