Description

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

How would you like to raise twice as much money for your organization? How about three, four, or five times as much as you raise today?

If you said “yes!” then this is the session for you.

WORKSHOP OUTCOMES

We’ll discuss what it takes to build powerful Major Gift and Planned Giving Programs and you’ll walk away with proven strategies, techniques, and tools for your organization. You’ll learn:

  1.  How to identify major donor and planned giving prospects
  2. How to communicate with these donors
  3. How to cultivate and build strong donor relationships
  4. How to make the ask

By focusing more on Major Gifts and Planned Giving – not special events, or grants, or corporate giving – you will raise significantly more money, ensure continued fundraising success long into the future, and allow your organization to have the greatest impact.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Rich Anderson has served the nonprofit sector for more than 30 years, starting his career at The American Red Cross National Headquarters in Washington DC. Since then, he has supported the fundraising and marketing programs of dozens of organizations, including ASPCA, North Shore Animal League, YWCA, Easter Seals, Christian Appalachian Project and The American Air Museum in Britain. Rich has led fundraising programs at The Museum of Discovery and Science and the Humane Society of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as well as World Neighbors, an international development organization headquartered in Oklahoma City.

Immediately prior to launching Anderson Impact, for more than a decade Rich served as CEO of Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, one of the largest and most respected animal welfare organizations in the nation. Under his leadership, the organization saw its budget grow from $5.1 million to $11.9 million and its staff expand from 55 employees to 135. Most importantly, the organization’s impact grew by 94%.

In addition to raising $95 million to support Peggy Adams programs and services over 11 years, Rich led a successful $17.6 million capital campaign, and the design and construction of a 27,000 square foot, state-of-the-art pet adoption center.

During Rich’s tenure, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League earned the coveted Charity Navigator 4-Star Rating for nine consecutive years, won the Palm Beach Post’s Nonprofit of the Year Award four consecutive years, and was recognized as Nonprofit of the Year by the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.
