WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This intensive two-hour workshop equips nonprofit leaders in Palm Beach County with essential skills and knowledge for successful grant seeking and management. Participants will learn how to assess their organization's grant readiness, develop compelling proposals, and implement effective grant management practices. The workshop combines practical exercises, local context, and proven strategies to help organizations secure and maintain grant funding in South Florida's competitive philanthropic landscape.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Jean A. Wihbey, Ph.D. is past Vice President of Workforce Development at Palm Beach State College and Provost (campus president) for the Lake Worth and Palm Beach Gardens campuses. Dr. Wihbey currently works with nonprofit organizations and schools to advance workforce and organizational development, contemporary business processes, and strong planning. 

Dr. Wihbey is a community advocate and leader in organizational effectiveness and workforce education. She ensures the quality and relevance of organizations’ programs through research, consulting, strategy, and problem solving with her partners in her companies FuturePath LLC and Knowledge Inc. Dr. Wihbey’s leadership style begins with collaborating, encouraging ideas, and building strong relationships. She has significant strategic planning experience, contemporary approaches to problem solving, and a focus on business growth and innovative practices. She has strong involvement in the community and connects businesses and people to advance progress. Her Community Impact Partnership model of collaborative action from the Aspen Institute for Leadership Excellence at Stanford University has led to important efforts to improve talent development, organizational advancement, and workplace success.

Full participation in the Grant Readiness, Writing & Execution Workshop is applicable for 2 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
