Start your nonprofit's new year off with intension as this Board Smart Q & A explores the board’s responsibility in guiding and overseeing the organization’s strategic direction. We’ll discuss how boards stay focused on mission, engage in big‑picture thinking, and partner with staff to ensure the strategic plan is implemented, monitored, and aligned with long‑term impact.

This monthly open forum for nonprofit CEOs, presidents, founders, and executive directors to ask questions regarding Board Governance best practices such as the board's responsibilities and organizational well-being. Attend regularly or drop in as you are able!

This is a Nonprofit Members Only Forum and is offered free of charge. This is only open to nonprofits.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Jessica Cecere is the former Chief Executive Officer of Nonprofits First, Inc. She has been involved in nonprofit leadership for more than 30 years. Ms. Cecere is also a small business owner, consultant, and active community volunteer. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University in 1986. She is a professional Board/Governance training expert, a former Certified Consumer Credit Counselor, and a former Certified Counselor for both the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and NeighborWorks America.
