Learners will identify the most persuasive metrics and visuals for different funders (e.g., outcomes, reach, cost-effectiveness) and frame them in narratives that resonate with each funder's goals. 

Learning Objectives: 

• Differentiate between common types of grant metrics (e.g., outcomes, outputs, reach, cost-effectiveness) and explain their relevance to different funder priorities. 
• Identify and select the most persuasive data points and visuals for a given funder scenario. Analyze how funder goals, values, and risk tolerance influence which data is most compelling. 
• Evaluate the effectiveness of data presentation in sample grant narratives and recommend improvements. 
• Construct a concise, funder-aligned narrative that integrates selected metrics and visuals to support a compelling grant case.

Dr. Jodie Boisvert, President of Change Amplifiers Research and Consulting, is a sociologist and evaluation and grant writing expert dedicated to helping organizations harness the full power of their data. With a Ph.D. in Sociology and extensive experience in social services and community impact, she brings both academic rigor and practical insight to every project.
