Your Form 990 and financial audit are more than annual compliance requirements — they tell a story about your nonprofit’s financial health, governance, accountability, and stewardship.
In this practical 45-minute workshop, nonprofit leaders will learn what the Form 990 communicates to donors, funders, board members, and the public; understand the difference between a Form 990, financial statement audit, and Single Audit; and discover how strong financial practices throughout the year can make the reporting and audit process smoother.
Participants will also explore common financial and documentation issues that can create challenges during 990 preparation or an audit and learn practical steps their organizations can take to improve transparency, strengthen internal controls, and remain audit ready.
The goal is not simply to survive year-end reporting, but to build financial practices that demonstrate responsible stewardship and strengthen stakeholder confidence.
